Hayley joined The Gateway Trust in August 2026 as Estates and Health & Safety Manager, bringing experience across facilities management, estates and health and safety within the education sector.

Her career has developed from hands-on operational facilities roles into specialist health and safety and estates management, giving her a strong understanding of both the practical demands of running school sites and the wider responsibilities around compliance, risk and assurance. Her experience also includes school governance, giving her a broader understanding of accountability, assurance and strategic decision-making within education.

Hayley is NEBOSH qualified and a Technical Member of IOSH.

Across the Trust, she focuses on strengthening estates and health and safety systems, supporting Site Managers and helping schools maintain consistent standards of statutory compliance. She is particularly passionate about making health and safety practical, proportionate and embedded into everyday operations.

Her approach is collaborative and solutions-focused, with the aim of creating safe, well-managed environments where staff can work confidently and pupils can learn safely.
