Donna has spent the past 18 years in education business management. She was Business Manager at Mason Moor Primary School during which time she led on a wide variety of school business management aspects including month and year-end accounts, auditors, COVID planning, Capital projects, Health & Safety and HR.  Previous to that she worked at Saint Anne's Catholic School (Voluntary Aided) and King Edward VI School (Independent fee paying). After graduating in 1993, Donna has worked in finance roles at the University of Southampton, the BBC and Goodyear.

In September 2021, Donna moved to The Gateway Trust (TGT) as Finance Manager working for Romsey School and Oakfield Academy. Her role expanded to include another primary and the trading subsidiary. In 2026 she has been made Finance Director across the whole Trust. TGT turns over £31million currently with seven schools, three nurseries and a separate trading subsidiary.
