Claire joined the Gateway Trust early in 2026 with years of hands-on experience working within the private sector. Throughout her career she has supported growing organisations by building effective people processes, strengthening practices, and ensuring compliance, while keeping employees at the heart of every decision.  

As a qualified HR professional, Claire is passionate about improving the day-to-day working lives of staff, creating an environment where people feel valued and ultimately enjoy where they work. A key part of Claire's aim is to reshape the perception of HR, moving it away from being seen as a boring, purely policy-driven department that disciplines staff, to being a proactive, people-focused function that champions wellbeing, fairness, and helps create a positive workplace culture.
