Craig has worked in the education sector for nearly two decades, beginning his career as a site assistant. This early hands-on experience provided him with a strong foundation in operational management and estates functions, shaping the trajectory of his professional development. 

Over the years, Craig has progressed through a range of roles across schools and multi-academy trusts, developing extensive expertise in estates management, health and safety, and organisational leadership. His career is underpinned by significant professional training, including NEBOSH, IOSH, and a wide range of specialist qualifications that support his practice. 

Craig joined The Gateway Trust in September 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his work with various trusts and educational settings. He has led the implementation of robust health and safety systems, supported schools in managing cultural and operational change, and helped embed strong compliance and monitoring standards across organisations. 

In addition to his strategic experience, Craig has managed day‑to‑day estates operations as well as overseeing multi‑million‑pound capital projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and future‑focused learning environments.
